Early Ethiopic: An Introduction with Exercises
Early Ethiopic: An Introduction with Exercises
Early Ethiopic is a linguistic introduction to classical Ethiopic/Ge'ez with clear and concise grammatical descriptions. This work is thoroughly grounded in current linguistic research on the grammar of Ge'ez. Each chapters is organized for optimal first-time encounter of the language, including a variety of exercises. Among the exercises are readings from the earliest Ethiopic Gospel of Mark set both within a colorful illustrated setting and also presented from color photographs of the manuscript pages.
